WHAT WE TREAT
During the adolescent years, a person’s brain is rapidly growing and changing. These changes can present a unique set of complications to a child’s emotional and mental development. At this age, young people start to face numerous stressors and expectations from school, home life, and the introduction of a newfound sense of self.
Adult Co-Occurring / Substance Use Disorders
The human body is a beautiful but complicated system. When you add the brain to the mix, the complication increases exponentially. For this reason, people handle their stress and problems in different ways. Western medicine has moved away from looking at each body system as separate and realizes that each person is the combined total of their experiences, thoughts, and behaviors.

When we are asked to stay at home as much as possible, we have a duty to our community to avoid others. But, it is essential that we don’t neglect our health, physical or mental.
Integrity Fo Older Adults
Depression, anxiety and other mental health issues are not a normal part of aging. Yet, one in four older adults experiences a mental health disorder and that number is expected to double in the next decade. If you or someone you love is struggling, we can help. At SUN, we offer programs to help older adults cope and take control of their own healing.
Adult Mood and Anxiety
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common form of mental illness in the United States. Approximately 40 million American adults are affected by anxiety disorders. Despite this, only 36.9% of those afflicted receive treatment.
